Fr. Russell Becker, O.F.M.On August 9, 1942, Sister. Theresa Benedicta of the Cross, a Carmelite nun, was executed with a crowd of women and children in the gas chambers of Auschwitz. She was the victim of Nazi cruelty that was directed especially to Jewish people.
