Resources for Mission Awareness
The Franciscan Missionary Union has resources that help to keep people “in touch” with the missionary spirit. Many are able to be downloaded or they can be obtained from the office.
1.Personal Calendars for you or your community.
2. A Lenten Scripture Reading Guide. They make a great handout for Lent..
3. A monthly meditation on some theme of the Church Year, with reflection questions. These can be received by email or downloaded. We ask people who receive them to pray for our missionaries who celebrate a birthday that month or who are ill or who passed away. This helps to make some prayer connections.
4. A special prayer for the children. We want to encourage children to pray for children in our missions.
5. A special litany in honor of St. Anthony. Special meal prayers for Tuesdays (St. Anthony’s Day).
6. We also have friars who would be willing to come and talk about the missions. Just contact us and tell us what your need is.
